July 28th, 2025 - 100th Email - Go out with a bang

 Hey

This do be being my last email

Thats pretty wild actually
So real fast lets do a quick recap of what we did this week

Monday evening we hit up a couple contacts and then ended up talking to a basher for over an hour because he lives with a friend of ours and as you can imagine that went nowhere and then the night was over so that sucked

Tuesday we met a guy named hector sitting on the side of the road while walking he was pretty cool but then ghosted us almost immediately lol
That evening we met with a recent convert family who had an uncle who isnt a member staying with them so hes chillin there and we had an epic lesson about the plan of salvation so that was pretty great

So wednesday was where things started to fall apart because we get in our car and the ac just doesnt work like at all so we're driving around for a bit hoping it cools down but it never did so we go to the church and check the hood and it turns out we were out of coolant, 8000 miles overdue for an oil change, and out of brake fluid.
(Thanks to the missionaries that rode in this thing before us)
Granted we probably couldve dealt with the oil change sooner
But hey
So we have a few lessons to hit up and then we went over to a pepboys to get the oil change and they say we have to schedule an appointment so we do it for the next day at 8 am (because we have a zone council meeting later that morning) and we just go to autozone to by coolant and brake fluid and after a little bit of finagling we figured out how to put it all in ourselves (ploeger worked on cars before)
But bruh
The ac still didnt work even after putting in the coolant
We went like a solid 4 hours without ac in that thing and its like 100 outside so we go to a lesson with a part member fam and we know one of them is a mechanic so we're like hey come check our car the ac isnt working and he goes to check it and the ac is back up and running
Classic cars...

Also going on at the same time was elder jones in our apartment was lowkey going through it not really sure what was happening and its probably personal to him but wednesday bro ended up taking the day just to hang out with the mission nurse and his companion elder walker had a service missionary whos trying to become a full time missionary (he like basically is already, its like a weird situation) and his name is elder smith so they hung out that day and elder ploeger is their district leader so he and the zone leaders too are tryna figure out what the heck is going on and also our obispo was tryna get a hold of us to do a service for a family that was moving at the same time we had a lesson scheduled so that was lowkey like
A really stressful day

So the next day we went to the oil change and our zone council meeting and then elder walker and i drove to the mission office in san bernardino (like a 20 minute drive not too bad) to see if elder jones was ok and president oligschlaeger went and got my departing interview out of the way meaning i was his first ever departing interview
So then president talked to walker and jones and on the ride back jones said unfortunately he was going to go home early and we didnt really know when because thursday was a holiday in utah (pioneer day) so it wouldnt be same day and we were lowkey all sad but it was probably for the best

Thursday was also my last exchange ever i went with elder baldwin so ploeger could go with elder hall to do a baptismal interview in their area and it was a chill exchange spent the entire day tryna plan a soccer night with the youth and we actually got like 4 people to show up which isnt like crazy but it was cool

Then friday morning we moved a washing machine to a family in the ward (well, the daughter is a recent convert the rest of the fam arent members) with the help of a member who had a nice truck and the neighbors of this family had a MASSIVE dog like im talking biggest dog ive ever seen in my life easy 4 feet tall that thing was a horse that was no dog idk what kind of dog it was they musta just released it in the last earth update ima just call it "big" for rn
And then we went to jack in the box and had to help the member we were with order cuz he dont speak english too good but i got a vanilla shake and i was pretty happy
So we get home like noonish and we learn elder jones was leaving at 2:30 and president was gonna pick him up. Luckily that was our deep cleaning time and so president didnt walk in on a completely trashed apartment because it was freshly cleaned (i swear we aint that messy but it was funny how it worked out that way)
So the rest of that day and ever since we've been a trio with elder walker covering three wards and three different languages (spanish, english, and samoan)

Saturday was lowkey really funny so we do a lot of work in elder walkers area and we got permission from the aps to go to the temple because our members were getting sealed (W) and they had a lot of nonmember family that was going to go to wait for them outside the temple and we were gonna talk to them and we pull up and theres absolutely nobody there lol so we wait a second hoping the family pulls up and a bunch of members from the ward pull up and a former missionary was there too because the couple that got sealed were her recent converts (she helped them get baptized) and i served around her, she finished back in january or something
So that was cool
But yeah we ended up just waiting out for like ten minutes until the couple came out and not gonna lie they werent thrilled their family didnt pull up either but they came to the afterparty at the church lol
There was food and lots of dancing
We had the one and only presidente luna do the DJing for the party and we had to bring all his equipment in our truck to the church but before we could go to the party we had to go to another party celebrating the birthday of one of our friends and then after the party we had to help presidente luna bring his stuff back to his house and then our friend had us go back over and say a prayer with them after we did that and so that evening was really tiring and we were exhausted lol

Sunday was exhausting too so basically since we cover 3 wards we attended 3 sacrament meetings but i didnt go to the samoan ward cuz they meet in a diff building at the same time as the spanish but we had a funny thing work out our spanish ward does sacrament second, so ploeger and walker drove to the samoan ward while i was in class hanging out with other elders in a different english ward so i could be with our friends there and walker and ploeger came back to attend the spanish sacrament meeting and i was asked by our obispo to give a final testimony and then us missionaries (including the sisters in our ward) did a cute little musical number and of course i played the piano for the song This is the Christ (from the new hymn book) and it was a lot of fun
The rest of the day was just visiting lots of people nothing too crazy

Then today was my last pday, we played ultimate frisbee and had pizza and signed journals and then we gonna do my last 3 hours of missionary work tonight after pday is over. Its crazy im already done with my mission, but even though i mostly just talk about the crazy goofy stuff that goes on i just wanted to say a quick testimony that I know this church is true, and by seeing it change the lives of everyone I teach I came to realize for myself just how much I had because I'm a part of this church. Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins and we just need to turn to Him always and he'll make us feel joy even in the most difficult of circumstances. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I fly home on wednesday, my flights at like 6 am and i have a connection through salt lake and i get home to Florida about 4 pm. Tuesday im hanging out with all the missionaries leaving with me, we're gonna do a temple session and a big dinner so it should be a fun way to finish off.

Ok picture time lol
-ploeger fixin the car
-a member took this of our musical number

Love you guys! Regrettably this means this concludes my weekly emails, end of an era fr

July 21st, 2025 - 99th Email - Hanging in there

 hey

So we at that point i guess
One week left and i really dont remember too much about what happened last week but here we go i gotta try for my beloved fans out there who desperately wait for another email from me every week and eagerly anticipate every entry

So i have a week left on my mission, guess ill get that out of the way right away, yes its weird, yes im excited, i will not divulge whether or not i am trunky but overall im extremely grateful for the great opportunity ive had to serve a mission and change so many people's lives. I cant really put to words perfectly how special this little rundown corner of california is to me but just trust me bro this place is slept on you got all these epic street mexican food trucks what more can you ask for (and lowkey those things make BANK)
Ill probably go into more detail on that kinda thing next week when i do my final email but yeah

So what actually happened this week lowkey forgrot again

So uh
Monday we were chillin we went over to this guy's apartment and found him in the parking lot putting junk in his car with a friend so we chatted it up and we found another dude watering his garden idk if that guys actually interested havent had contact since

Tuesday we exchanged with the colton english elders. They live back in my old apartment from last transfer after some apartment switches. Hung out with elder johnson for the day, really funny guy lol we did run out of gas but its ok the only issue is we dont have a gas card in our truck so we just had to make it to the gas station and wait for ploeger and johnson's companion mcphie to come save us but we got some slushies in the meantime (w circle k)

Met a lady knocking doors that only spoke english but she was seventh day adventist and it was funny there was some pretty crazy stuff she was saying and complaining how other churches dont believe in it and we were like "actually we completely agree with you" except for the whole sabbath is saturday thing but hey what started out as a bash turned into a 40 minute scripture study on her porch and she was like "yknow i sometimes get heated but thats not what the Lord wants" and we actually had like a surprisingly argument-less discussion it was lowkey weird how nice she became to us

All of our friends flaked on english class ðŸ˜

Uh wednesday we did stuff
Jk we did a zone service activity over in the san bernardino zone (my old area) where we piled boxes in big stacks (i knew my tetris skills would come in play somehow) and yknow those big metal crates they show in movies in ports well this place had those for some reason to store childrens books and they had some missionaries sort those out and you know me those things dont have air conditioning it was lowkey better just to work outside on the box piles even if it was a little dirtier and it was actually a lot of fun

Got this lady named Alma on date for baptism apparently she went straight to the book of alma in the book of mormon (no surprise) and already read like 10 chapters of it (big surprise) so that was really cool

Dude we had this WILD drama with some of our friends this week i gotta explain it at the end now you got somethin to be excited for but basically we had these formerly homeless friends we were teaching and we almost got through all the lessons with them and they were staying in a member's front lawn in a tent for a couple weeks the drama didnt happen until sunday i just saw we had a lesson with them on wednesday and it reminded me of this

Thursday we had interviews! My second-to-last interview because i get one last final one before i dip but it was really good and i really like president oligschlaeger and hes working on making this mission the best it can be

We also exchanged and i went to the english/samoan area with elder jones but we did not samoan work sadly but we did run into a couple cool dudes and had dinner with the stake patriarch
We also knocked the door of a lady whp after we left texted us saying she wanted to get baptized so things are lookin up for shore

Uhhhh friday we chilled and talked to a returning member about getting his son baptized

We visited like 4 part member families that day lol our entire teaching pool is just part members

Gave a lady named daniela a blessing shes struggling a lot with pretty personal stuff

Exchanged again with the rialto english/samoan later saturday evening but i stayed in the area (im getting burnt out on exchanges...) it was pretty chill i taught a lesson by myself in spanish (elder jones doesnt speak spanish)
Committed a guy to church who didnt end up coming to church (classic)

We've also been putting a huge focus on the temple with our families, we want to help em all grow closer together and hopefuly all get sealed at some point but the first step is for everyone to get baptized lol

Church was chill had lots of people pull up last minute without notifying us and then a family moved into the rialto 4th ward (my last ward) and we had to go help move them in but they were a half hour later than originally planned (we got there late too...) so we couldnt actually help because we had a dinner appointment but it was cool to see all the members i know

Then we just visited all our friends that evening that didnt come to church, was a pretty long evening not gonna lie

But yeah! Second to last week done. Pretty nuts. One more to go, talk to you guys next week!

July 14th, 2025 - 98th Email - "It's not just a boulder, it's a rock"

 Hey

So
Doing some math
There are 102 weeks in a 6-week mtc mission for guys

And i only have 2 more emails to write
So i think that means im at 100 emails? Idk but if anything that i cause for celebration by kool and the gang (good song) because that means im like
Almost done or something
Whether im trunky or not is up to reader interpretation

But its ok because we did some good work this week found some good people and also we found a guy from equatorial guinea he was pretty cool and he was black but bro spoke spanish like he was from spain ive never heard anyone unironically say como estais before but in spanish speaking africa they do

So monday was just visiting people in the heat bro it was like 104 a couple of these days (but i got good news)

Monday (july 7) we chillin and we visit this family thats tryna get the kids 'tized but the mom needs to push them more and the daughter was gon go to girls camp this week and she enjoyed it but bro there was some drama lowkey and i think it was kinda our fault but basically they didnt get baptized because the mom wasnt pushing them enough and they got scared but its ok we are thinking of switching gears to make the mom more comfortable with her kids getting baptized and we have a solid plan its just unfortunate that i wont be here for a lot of it to go through

It was funny tho because we still hadnt fixed my bike tire so we ended up just walking around on monday evening which was pretty fun ran into a ton of random people we walked probably like
Uh
A lot of miles that evening

Tuesday we finally got my bike fixed and had a hecka long lesson with a referral (and now there's drama with this lady) but she was really wanting to get baptized and learn more she was also coming from el salvador and she went to church down there and it seems like she gets offended really easily... more on that l8er but we were at the church for an hour and a half for this lesson

And then 1 person came to english class ðŸ’€ but it was chill

Wednesday we met a guy named Dutch he was cool never met a guy with that name before but yeah we had to hop over some crazy hurdles that day to not have to ride our bikes over the bridges next to our apartment but we were able to do it by borrowing our apartment mates' truck for a bit and then hitching a ride with them later because our dinner was next to our apartment on the other side of the bridges

Thursday we had zone council like normal but they surprised us with a zone wide exchange and i went with elder baldwin in his area and did tons of good work and fun stuff and took a nice nap that i really needed during dinner hour
The funny thing was i slept like
All the way through dinner hour
So i didnt have time to actually eat anything since we had an appointment
But then we got saved by a kid that came tracting with us because he brought a bag of pizza slices so thanks to that kid hes going to serve in the indianapolis mission here soon
Also it was nice to not be on bike lol

But! Good news! Friday we got a call from the ap's in the morning and usually that isnt a good thing but this time they let us know we were getting a car! So we picked up a toyota tacoma truck at like 11 am at the church building from them and now we're cruising and i feel just like spongebob when he saw that big rock in the middle of nowhere singing "we're saved" at the top of his lungs because i was getting tired of all my bike problems for realsies

So now we're traveling in style except our truck is over 8000 miles overdue for an oil change we just found out so we gon have to fix that

I dont think anything crazy happened on saturday lowkey we were just happy to be in car and we were playing a prank on the other missionaries so they didnt figure out we had a car yet (not even the zone leaders knew)

So sunday we were chillin at the church waiting for our meeting to start but one of our friends texted us saying she wouldnt be able to make it (this is important for later) and overall it was a really good church and we had lots of ppl there and former presidente luna from the old mission presidency spoke with his wife and all our friends loved what they talked about i kinda zoned out not gonna lie but im gonna assume it was really good

Ok so bruh the friend that told us she couldnt come to church wouldnt respond to why she couldnt so we decided that evening we were gonna stop by her house to check up on her and see if everything is ok and she wasnt there so we talked to her husband who seemed slightly miffed and then the next morning (monday morning) we get a text from her saying she didnt understand why we had to go by and she didnt know because she didnt go to church that we would just come looking for her so we have no idea what to do cuz shes overreacting as heck when we just went over because we cared about her so thisll be interesting

Aight thats basically everything have a great day u guys
2 weeks

July 7th, 2025 - 97th Email - Bike Problems

 Wazzuuuuuup

This email is for the week of june 30th to july 6th

Its getting hot out here babey it was like 102 last thursday and yet we still out here on bike

Once again our reporting was dooky on monday night so I have no idea what we did but we had food with members during pday so that was fun

We met up with the family of a recent convert on tuesday and they said they were interested in getting baptized! Unfortunately havent been able to get in good contact with them since lol but the recent convert is active at church so we could probs talk to her there

English class was completely taught by the missionaries (usually theres a couple members that do it here in rialto which is weird but those members are both on vacation so we had to do it last week and this week too) and it was pretty fun ngl reminded me of the good ol days of teaching english class twice a week for 6 transfers in a row

We also had dinner up in grand terrace which was up a mountain and in order to get back (we got a ride up) we had to bike all the way down and we went pretty fast but the roads were lowkey windy and we had to go like this back way offroad and under a bridge (that one was actually a designated bike lane which was interesting) and it literally took us a half hour to get to the church and we were sweating like crazy but we got there

Then after english class we left to go like
Work
And then my tire was flat (of course) and we filled it up and we kept going for a little bit cuz our next contact was super close and then after the contact we just went back to the church and my tire went flat again and my handlebars turned sideways and my bike fell over and i landed on my back on the ground so that sucks (elder ploeger fell off his bike too the day before so we had to get even)
A lady driving by asked if i was okay so i just wanted to show appreciation for the random lady

Wednesday we actually reported good on what we did so we got in contact with a referral over whatsapp
Oh wait
Actually this happened on tuesday where we got the referral it was really funny because the lady is from el salvador and the missionaries who met her in el salvador called us and if turns out one of them was elder ploegers friend from back home so they had a funng conversation

So anyway
We get in contact with dis lady Ana and she souper cool lowkey and she came to church it was funny cuz i told her we would wait outside for her and i totally forgot ðŸ’€ but its ok cuz she gows straight to the missionaries asked "does anyone speak spanish" and there i was casually like "i do"

Also had a sweet lesson with a friend where we talked about charity and she said it touched her heart to try to have charity in her home and it was cool

Uhhhh
Oh yeah
So tuesday night we went to walmart to go buy a new tire for my bike and bro lemme tell ya it took forever they got random junk stuck behind locked glass doors because of people stealin it and unfortunately for me the tire was one of them and i had to call a worker to get it and he had to walk it over to a register closer by for vehicle repair stuff and it was just easier to go there but it turns out the people in front of me wanted a new car battery which for some reason meant the guy had to leave for like ten minutes while i stood there tryna buy a new bike tire and eventually i got it but then wednesday we went to fix it and we were already at the church cuz we get a ride from the guys we live with but we couldnt get the tire on the bike because 1. The tire was too big and 2. We had the wrong pump so we decided to give up and luckily we had a third bike lying around home but that bike is dooky so we didnt really use it the problem was mostly the brake system not working right but i used it for like 2 days it got us by

Oh wait also wednesday i exchanged with our housemates too i forgot but it wasnt until after all the bike stuff and it was a fun exchange and we went and played volleyball at their ward activity so that was fun

Thursday was zone conference and it was really good actually there were things that pres and sister oligschlaeger said that really spoke to me and i saw lots of good friends there (its cool i know everyone now) i couldntve asked for a better last zone conference too bad i wont see any more from the new mission president but i gave my final testimony and it was really cool! I also played piano which was fun

I got another flat tire that night but luckily did not need to replace the tire just pumped it up on the extra bike but it meant we had to bike to the church building cuz we left the pump there and so we werent able to do very much that day

Friday i got a new bike and i was very happy elder godfrey and elder allen came over from redlands and gave us a new bike for me and it is a lot better way lighter than the other one i dont have to max leg press every time i pedal anymore and my brakes function properly too so cant complain and we got through the weekend with no more bike problems

Also! Hope you guys had a great independence day, we had to be inside at 6 pm that evening to avoid firework parties and stuff, but we did still enjoy our evening playing some board games and stuff and we were able to watch some fireworks from the comfort of our apartment so that was fun and we chatted with the neighbors too lol
Also that day we had to get picked up to go to our dinner because we couldnt bike there (freeway and bridges and junk) so we got some other random missionaries to come with us and on the way there we drove through an area known for having wild donkeys (they call em "burros" which is really funny) and one of the other missionaries tried to lure one over ðŸ’€ it came over to the car window and then just walked off so i guess he dont like us

Met a guy named jabron on saturday so that was cool
Rest of the day was mostly inviting everyone to church and stuff

Oh yeah i had a friend from my last ward that was gonna get baptized and i was gonna go but they canceled last second and i was really sad because im still in the same zone so i can go to his baptism if he does get baptized so pray that Joel will get baptized so i can go before i finish my mission

Good week overall worked as hard as we could in the heat and with all the bike issues

Alright until next time bye bye
(3 weeks left)

Pictures!
-chillin
-zone conference lol, me and elder mejia (we were comps in borrego springs)
-wild burro

June 30th, 2025 - 96th Email - Pluck plums

 Hey

Ok so this email is for the week of june 23-june 29th so ok now that that is cleared up we can go back to our regularly scheduled email

Monday pday was cool we had a watermelon carving competition as a zone and we had stuff from an elephant to a basket to a pina colada type beat thing it was fun we made a caged bird it was lowkey pretty dope and then i just slept the rest of the day

In the evening we had some missed contacts and like one lesson we didnt report on so i couldnt tell you what we talked about if i wanted to

Tuesday morning we went to a recent converts house and shoveled rocks
Literally these two massive bags in this ladys truck bed that each weighed like 1500 pounds and we had to shovel the rocks out the truck and wheelbarrow them to around back to dump em all next to a shed (it was all for asthetic purposes)
She also let us harvest her plums from her tree and they tasted very good i liked em ngl that single event is where the name of the email comes from so yeah

Something about being on bike is we spend a lot of time at the church building because of getting rides from the other missionaries since sometimes they leave before we do and so they just drop us off there so we can chill for a bit longer and not have to bike over the bridges and stuff that are lowkey dangerous
But dude it has been getting hot lately so biking has been fun but hard but we surviving so its ok im actually wearing sunscreen

Had a sad lesson on tuesday where a progressing guy told us he didnt want us to pressure him about baptism so we backed off a bit so pray for roberto hes going through a lot of health problems and we tryna help him understand getting baptized will bless him in all things but its aight we chillin at least i dont think im pressuring him too hard (i aint dat kinda guy)

Had a miracle lesson later tho where this family thats been taught for forever finally let us give the kids a baptism date the oldest julio is super down its just the younger ones that are kinda scared its chill tho

Also idk if i mentioned our homeless friends the week before but we had some homeless friends our member was taking care of and they just chill at the church a lot so we get to go over to the church and say hey all the time and get some free member presents out of it too which is pretty chill but we need to find some legal stuff in order for them to get married so pray for em pls

We went over to that members house early thursday morning and did a scripture study with em so that was fun
Then we had zone council and did a quick exchange with one of the zone leaders and i went with elder hawk in the willow branch area and left ploeger on bike lol

Was a fun exchange but nobody answered us lol

Reexchanged at like 7 pm after dinner because elder flores (the zone leader) had to be at a lesson or something but it was fun

Oh yeah
Kinda a big deal
We switched mission presidents on tuesday
So just
One day pinnock was gone
And the next
We got president oligschlaeger
I love this guy already lol hes really nice and loves to hang out with us and we had a meeting with him on friday together with the fontana zone where he and his wife talked to each companionship to get to know us and its kinda sad ill only be here for a little bit with them but i know theyll do great things here

Then we had a fathers day activity that evening at our building and our friends were lowkey kinda bored lol but we talked to em and got em food so it was chill the dads all went up and did goofy stuff
(The activity was delayed a lot for some reason)

Sunday was cool the english missionaries had a couple baptisms in the colton ward and i took a nap after church and got to know the members a lot better and we also ran into the rialto 4th bishop (from my last area) because he actually lives well within the rialto 3rd (my current ward) boundaries and he was eating dinner with the hermanas in that ward outside so he invited us to eat some tacos so naturally we obliged but then we got a SECOND dinner from a member

Wait actually
Scratch that
All the food stuff happened on saturday and im too lazy to fix it

But i did actually take a fat nap on sunday it was nice

Also cool news! A friend of mine from rialto 4th is getting baptized this next sunday and because im in the same stake ill be able to go! Im purdy eggcited

But yeah that was basically my week there was probably other goofy stuff that went on
I guess we went to el super because elder ploeger was tryna buy some football cards (walmart ran out) and then turned out bro accidentally bought stickers so that was really funny

Not too much crazy happened this week but it was just fun so yeah 4 weeks left

Pictures!
-ploeger and dog
-baptism from when i got here because i didnt have the picture last week

June 23rd, 2025 - 95th Email - I'm still here

 hEy

So uh
Here we are at the beginning of a new transfer

My bad for forgetting to write this last week youll get 2 emails this week

My last one
22 months later
Yeah its pretty weird (ive been asked this a lot)

But we had a crazy week so lets get into it

So first of all elder strong went home on sunday and then monday happened which was an interesting day to say the least
I was in a trio with elder nelson and carwin which was super fun we just chilled and stuff the zone activity was a slip n slide thingy thing and i was just kinda chillin on the side since i dont rly like to get wet but i was also like sad because strong was gone and i was talking to carwin about life

So that evening i enjoyed a great time of going to a samoan activity at someones house and guess what it was outside the mission (because their area goes outside the mission for the samoan ward) it was dope and i got to wear a lavalava and got a free hawaiian shirt was pretty dope

Tuesday was a sad day becuz we took elder carwin to the temple because he finished his mission and so i was just stuck with elder nelson (i love elder nelson hes a great guy) and it was just us two from then on and we mostly worked in my area with little to do in his but we visited the english ward's bishop so that was fun and he hooked me on tillamook ice cream so

So then wednesday comes around and we get transfer news so nelson and i both got transfered and we spent the day packing, i sent some random junk home to free space in my suitcase and said bye to a lot of friends and members. Im gonna miss the rialto 4th ward but honestly i think change will be really good for them.

So we go to transfers and it was nuts because it was president pinnock's last transfer. His last day is the 24th. Hes changed the mission in a lot of good ways in his time and ill miss the pinnocks a lot but im also really optimistic about the new president oligschlaeger coming in even though itll only be for the last bit of my mission.

So anyway after hanging out with elder nelson we got so rudely torn apart at transfers. He went to hesperia and i went... back to the same zone i was in. Im still in rialto. Apparently theres not a whole lot of spanish missionaries in the mission rn so people are having to repeat areas. Which is a little depressing lol
But now im with elder ploeger who i went on an exchange with last week funnily enough
Bro is from holladay utah and his first name a brock so hes pretty cool in my book because brock from pokemon is pretty cool
He also lived in the netherlands for like 5 years or something

But im also on bike, and the weather has been pretty good the last couple days but its going to get hotter so this sucks and we're frantically begging the ap's to get us a car but apparently the mission has no extra cars to give out so we're just waiting on that

So im in the rialto 3rd ward which has none of its boundaries within the city of rialto and most of it is in colton which has the worst urban planning of all time because all the roads and stuff were built around the already existing train tracks so theres lots of hills and under- and overpasses so its honestly not a great biking area but we manage (aka we get lots of rides) and we also hang out at the church building a lot if we get too tired but honestly we've kept ourselves really busy always having something to do ive knocked way more doors than i ever have before here

Housemates are cool too elder walker is training elder jones (not my past companion) and this is now the first person ive ever lived with who is a first transfer trainee and i went my whole mission without training so there goes my bloodline sorry elder gonzalez u were never a grandpa

Also i laugh because barlow and past companion jones are now companions and on bike in the neighboring spanish area so haha

But yeah ward is super cool they made me introduce myself in sacrament meeting and it was after the trainee hermana said it was her first couple days in the field and i go up and say yeah this is my last month of my mission

But as far as the work goes my bike got hit by a car my first day dont worry it did not hit me it only hit my bike but it was still really stupid and we had to go fix the chain which bent a little bit but it all worked out in the end and the bike is now useable again

Also a miracle is a friend of mine in borrego springs is getting baptized (a cool thing about our missionary app is following people we taughts' information so we can see if they getting baptized)

Also my first day we taught some homeless people and one thing led to another and now theyre not homeless and we're helping them get married so they can get baptized and we even helped them find a job so they can make enough money to move back to their home country and yeah that was a wild development

We also had a baptism for an 8 yo kid named Jacob and hes super cool really excited for him but he counted as a missionary baptism for some odd reason

Also met someone that moved here from san bernardino that i taught while i was in san bernardino! She was happy to see me and we're going to keep working toward baptism with her

Yeah so that was my week bye lol
This is boutta be a great transfer!
